1/27/2024 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: Family counseling held with Laylah and her mother in the home. QMHP-C facilitated a family discussion with Laylah and her family. This session focused on communication, respecting others, making choices, parenting skills, setting limits, resolving conflicts in a peaceful manner, and family expectations at which mother reports when she cannot have her needs met she will lash out on her peers and siblings with behaviors lasting 10 minutes in duration. 2. Behavior: Laylah presented hostile behaviors throughout the end of the session as she was getting upset with her mother and fussing with her mother about what she does as a mother which causes them to always go back and forth with behaviors lasting 10-20 minutes in duration. 1.Intervention: QMHP-C began session by inquiring about Laylahâs emotional wellbeing. QMHP-C assessed each otherâs mood by observing communication tone and body language. QMHP-C instructed each of them to elaborate on their feelings. QMHP-C validated responses regarding feelings. QMHP-C role played situations relevant to respecting others with the family and allowed each of them to share feedback regarding the role play. Ms. Boone was assisted with parenting skills. Ms. Boone was instructed to review roles of each person in the home. QMHP-C emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts in a peaceful manner. 2. Intervention: Each family member was given a situation and they were instructed to respond in such a way that the conflict could be resolved peacefully. QMHP-C provided them each with more alternative ways to respond to the situation. Ms. Boone was educated on assisting to make better choices in the home, school and in the community. QMHP-C utilized past situations to guide Ms. Boone with her assistance to Laylah as it relates to making choices. 1. Response: Laylah and her family actively participated in this session. Laylah appeared to be somewhat easily agitated during this session. She appeared to have wanted all of the attention focused on her as evidenced by her constantly blurting in when others were speaking. At times, she appeared to be disconnected during the session 2. Response: The family has difficulty establishing and maintaining roles in the home consistently. The family struggles to resolve conflicts peacefully but has noticeably taken more appropriate steps to do so.
